Big Joe’s Pizza & Deli is home to Kalamazoo’s freshest homemade pizza and your favorite Big Joe’s subs, salads and sandwiches.  Since our opening on Gull Road in 2000, Big Joe’s is the dream of owner, Peyton Wood, who hopes to keep the Big Joe’s menu on everyone’s mind and taste buds!

Our demand for quality is evident from your first bite of our homemade pizza!  It starts with fresh, homemade dough, made right in our store. That dough is topped by Peyton’s personal recipe pizza sauce.  Only the best, authentic Wisconsin mozzarella cheese made by Grande and Primo Gusto are used to top our pizza.  When you order sausage on your pizza you’ll know it was made in our kitchen from scratch, including grinding, seasoning and cooking the freshest pork cushions.  Only the best, fresh green pepper, red onions and white mushrooms are good enough for a pizza that’s “just like Momma Rossa used to make” (a quote from Guisseppe, one of our customers!)

The Big Joe’s famous subs and sandwiches are made on fresh bread, baked and delivered early each morning by Doug Knibbe, of Renzema’s Bakery.  Made fresh in Parchment, Doug and his crew use the original 30 year old Big Joe’s recipes.  The meats used on our subs are the finest quality available, including Stanz’s top round roast beef, Farmland Classic Cure ham, Brickman oil roasted turkey and Pavone cappicola.  Our meats, natural, never processed provolone, swiss and sharp Cheddar cheese and vine ripened tomatoes are sliced fresh daily to ensure the very best tasting subs, sandwiches and salads.  We even offer you a choice of lettuce mixes, to satisfy your tastes!
